New Game Director and Updates

Funcom today announced a new Game Director for Anarchy Online: Morten Byom, as Marius Enge has left the company to pursue other opportunities.

Morten has been a long time member of the Anarchy Online development team, as Lead Game Designer of Shadowlands, for example. He promises to breathe fresh air into the world of Rubi-Ka, "I truly look forward to take the creative lead, and will do my best in making the ultimate sci-fi MMORPG even better", he said.

And like this isn't enough, Funcom has also announced that there is an impressive graphics upgrade coming up that will mainly adjust the characters, and textures of the ground, as these two have been the things players asked for the most. They also say that they will upgrade the entire color scheme of Anarchy Online to make the planet of Rubi-Ka look more " vibrant, colorful and lush".

"With a new graphics upgrade, great new staff and Morten Byom at the creative helm I envision a bright future of AO for many years to come.", said Ole Schreiner, Project Director at Funcom. Of course I would've envisioned a bright future for Anarchy Online anyway.
