EVENT BACKGROUND :
With the recent discovery of these stone statues of people, ancient stories that have drifted around as legends to scare the children at night are slowly ringing more and more true. There are too many similarities between what is said to of happened in the stories, and the latest happenings.
As the legend goes, many thousands of years ago, a king named Nazderon demanded of his kingdom that all the women between the ages of 16 and 36 to show themselves as he traveled from town to town, looking for a wife. Upon reaching this particular city, he found the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, and chose her to marry, but she did not wish to marry him. The town refused to let Nazderon marry her against her will. This infuriated Nazderon, and he sieged the town for many days. The town would not give her up, and Nazderon became even more furious. He then set out upon a dark task to curse the town for their defiance. After many nights conversing with a dark source that only Nazderon and his High Priest know of, they put upon the town a curse that would change everyone there to stone forever, and then he sent his guards to bury the town in sand and rubble.
