New Devlog from Heidi

Hedi has a new Devlog posted on the Pirates of The Burning Sea site, in it she talks about some of her work going into E3 and the testing of the Player Trading system.

One of the things I worked on for E3 was compressing all of our textures so they would eat up less video memory. They do in fact compress down to about a quarter of their previous size, yay! This means we can use even more high-resolution textures while staying within the parameters of a 128MB video card. A side effect of this was that I removed a bunch of mip-map creation code that happened on the fly, thus our loading of ships should be zippier
