City of Heros: Issue 4 Marks One Year Anniversary

With the advent of NCSoft's City of Heros one year anniversary, a large patch was released last week to add player vs. player along with Anime and Manga-styled costumes.

NCSoft is beginning to set a precident for releasing large expansion-pack worthy updates for free. In a tribute to City of Heros' one year anniversary, the possiblities for CoH costumes has expanded tremendously. Now players can choose costumes that reflect heros in an Anime or Manga-style hero adventure. NCSoft has noticed, along with the rest of the world, that superheros have been created in many cultures besides the American culture and have acted on this.

NCSoft has also released one of the most anticipated updates to the game, player vs. player. Player vs. player is restricted to certain areas in the game called "arenas" and will not interfere with the normal game play that current subscribers have come to enjoy. The PvP system offers a ranking system as well and losers in the arena battles still gain a small amount of battle experience without the negative penalties of PvE.
