The first and foremost biggest headline on the still short list of features coming with Issue 4 is probably the implementation of Player vs. Player combat.

With City of Villains, which will allow you to pick the bad guys, only being a few months away it seems like a smart move to implement Player vs. Player combat on the current live game in order to get it balanced properly. And so be it, with Issue 4 there will be the "Colosseum", allowing players to compete against each other "in a variety of battle scenarios designed to hone their fighting skills to incredible levels".

Several types of combat will be available:
quote:
Solo, Team or Supergroup slug-fests for characters of all levels.
Arenas are found in zones accessible to all levels of characters: in Galaxy City, Talos Island, and Peregrine Island.
Matches can be preset or customized by the players.
Options include pick-up instant matches or scheduled events between teams and supergroups.
PvP is only done with the consent of each player involved.
Includes constantly updating Ranking System where players see their character’s ranked among the best of Paragon City.
Winners in the Arena matches gain recognition and the losers gain valuable battle experience without earning character debt.

Also coming with Issue four are new costumes and facial features, including a good set of Anime-themed new costumes for the want-to-be Hero in Paragon City.

Our City of Heroes Gallery has been updated with nine new screenshots of the upcoming Colosseum!
