European City of Heroes Beta has ended

NCSoft Europe today closed down the European City of Heroes Beta, ending it with a blast. Large groups of high level monsters were sent down on the last logged in participants.

A description of the event can be found on the UK website of City of Heroes and we have updated our City of Heroes Gallery with screenshots of the event.

This effectively ends the Beta Testing period of City of Heroes in Europe, making way for the retail client to ship and opening of the recently fan-named servers. The English language servers will be called Defiant and Union, the French server will be known as Vigilance, and the German will be called Zukunft (which is German for "Future").

City of Heroes is bound to retail for a price of €39,95 across Europe on February 4th.
