Annual Award Rules as of 2004

This is fairly easy: we have X categories to give awards in. Those follow the system of "Most Anticipated" for games that were not released as of at least 1 month before the start of the awards and "Best" for games that are already live. So we have categories for the major types of game type (Science-Fiction, Fantasy, Space Simulation) and others depending on if there is concurrence or need for it (like Best Original Game, Most Unjustified Cancellation).


This Year we are giving awards in:

Most Anticipated Expansion
Most Anticipated Science-Fiction
Most Anticipated Fantasy
Most Unjustified Cancellation
Best Player vs. Player
Best Original
Best Science-Fiction
Best Fantasy
Best Space Simulation
Best Expansion
Game of the Year
Most Anticipated Game of the Year


We also have some other awards and titles to be given away for certain games that had an extremely good year, or that just stood out of the mass in some way or another. But those will be a surprise.

If you do not see the last two categories for vote yet, that is perfectly normal. We will first run all other polls, and then run the "Game of the Year" and "Most Anticipated Game of the Year" polls between the winners of all other polls of the "Best" and "Most Anticipated" categories.
